Job Description
Curvy Plastic Surgery is seeking an experienced and reliable Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team. This role is responsible for preparing, organizing, and maintaining the sterile field during surgical procedures under the direction of the surgeon and registered nurse. The Surgical Technologist will assist with surgical cases by ensuring instruments, supplies, and equipment are properly prepared and available, while helping maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and organize the operating room prior to procedures
• Set up and maintain the sterile field throughout surgery
• Ensure all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and ready for use
• Assist the surgeon and nursing staff during procedures as directed
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during operations
• Handle surgical instruments and supplies according to sterile technique standards
• Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent cases
• Help maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization in the operating room
• Support patient care activities before, during, and after procedures as needed
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Surgical Technologist training or certification preferred
• Previous experience in an operating room or surgical setting required
• Knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and operating room protocols
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Plastic surgery experience is a plus
