Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to manage and streamline our financial operations across Indian and US entities. This role requires a professional with strong hands-on experience in accounting, taxation, compliance, and financial reporting, particularly within tech, online, or website-based companies. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using Zoho Books and QuickBooks, and possess a deep understanding of Indian statutory compliance as well as intercompany accounting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Reporting
Maintain accurate financial records using Zoho Books and QuickBooks
Ensure monthly and yearly book closure
Prepare and review financial statements – Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow
Manage intercompany transactions between Indian and US entities
2. Compliance & Taxation
Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PT, and PF
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-+) and TDS returns (24Q, 26Q, 27Q)
Support income tax return filing and compliance under Indian tax laws
3. Accounts Payable
Process vendor invoices, manage vendor payments, and maintain AP aging report
Reconcile customer payments and refunds in the accounting system
4. Banking & Treasury Management
Perform daily bank reconciliations and cash flow reporting
Manage payments processing with appropriate statutory deductions
5. Audit & Financial Controls
Maintain internal financial controls and documentation
Key Skills Required
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian compliance regulations
Proficiency in Zoho Books and QuickBooks
Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes
Excellent reconciliation skills (Bank, Vendor, Customer)
Understanding of US-India intercompany accounting
Experience working with external auditors and tax consultants
Education: CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA (Finance) / M.Com / B.Com
Salary: ₹4 LPA – ₹5 LPA
