Experience : 2 - 4 Years Job Type : Full Time Job Title: Sr. Accountant Department: Finance Reports To: Accounts Head Job Summary: The Accounts Assistant will provide support to the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: Financial Record Keeping: Maintain financial records and ensure they are accurate and up-to-date. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and expense reports. Manage accounts payable and receivable. Reconcile bank statements and accounts. Data Entry: Input financial data into accounting software. Ensure all transactions are properly documented. Assistance in Audits: Assist with internal and external audits. Prepare audit schedules and provide information to auditors. Support to Senior Accountants: Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings. Provide support in budget preparation and forecasting. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Keep up-to-date with changes in financial regulations. Administrative Duties: Handle correspondence related to finance. Provide administrative support to the finance team as required. Qualifications and Skills: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: Previous experience in an accounting role is preferred. Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Personal Attributes: Integrity and reliability. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Team player with a proactive approach to work. Willingness to learn and develop accounting skills. Working Conditions: Full-time position. Office-based role with potential for occasional remote work. Standard working hours with the possibility of overtime during peak periods. Note: Payments follow-up & reminders are a must.
