Accountant, you will be executing a variety of professional accounting functions that support our operations
This role involves maintaining the accuracy of general, revenue, and expenditure ledgers, as well as reconciling financial ledgers and preparing financial statements
Perform and maintain a variety of professional accounting functions supporting organization-wide operations
Ensure accuracy of general, revenue, and expenditure ledgers and subsidiary financial systems
Conduct review, audit, and post all accounts payable, purchase orders, cash receipts, payroll, and other accounting records and transactions
Reconcile financial ledgers and records; prepare financial statements and reports, general and subsidiary ledgers, and supporting schedules
Participate in the annual budget process; prepare budget worksheets and schedules; verify that budget is accurate and in balance
Track all bank transactions on a daily basis and reconcile bank balance to general ledger
Assume responsibility for recording and reconciling monthly investment earnings as well as quarterly interest allocations
Prepare a variety of monthly, periodic and annual financial and statistical reports and accounting summaries
Conduct month and year-end closing functions; reconcile liability accounts; prepare audit adjustments
Participate in the year-end audit; compile and prepare supporting schedules, work papers, and financial reports as requested by auditors
Respond to public inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve issues in an efficient and timely manner

Emily Krous is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join her clients team in the non-profit industry located in Sacramento, California. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be executing a variety of professional accounting functions that support our operations. This role involves maintaining the accuracy of general, revenue, and expenditure ledgers, as well as reconciling financial ledgers and preparing financial statements.

Responsibilities

Requirements
