Job Title: Senior Accountant Location: Chennai Department: Finance Position Type: Full-Time Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting principles, with significant experience in using Tally and Zoho Books. The role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: • Financial Management and Reporting: • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. • Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures. • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements. • Accounting Operations: • Manage all accounting transactions and ledgers. • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable. • Expertise in Tally and Zoho Books: • Extensive use of Tally for day-to-day accounting and financial operations. • Utilize Zoho Books for managing online accounting, automating business workflows, and remote collaboration. • Taxation and Compliance: • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns. • Assist with audit and tax preparations. • Liaise with auditors for financial audits. • Budgeting and Forecasting: • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. • Analyze variances and initiate corrective actions. • Process Improvement: • Streamline accounting functions and operations. • Implement best accounting practices and technology solutions.
