Overview:
Blue Yonder Inc. a leading AI-driven Global Supply Chain Solutions Software Product Company and one of Glassdoor’s “Best Places to Work” is seeking a Sr. Revenue Accountant to join the Revenue Accounting Department. This role will be part of a team whose primary responsibilities include all aspects of revenues and costs worldwide for global revenue including but not limited to Professional Services, cloud, SaaS, and maintenance.
Scope:
Core responsibilities include supporting global revenue recognition accounting.
Our current technical environment:
Software: Workday, Upland, Salesforce, Microsoft Office
What you'll do:
Daily and monthly responsibilities include data gathering and/or verification.
Prepare and review monthly and quarterly general ledger balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare monthly journal entries and revenue schedules in accordance with revenue recognition guidance ASC606.
Review consulting services customer contracts for proper accounting project setup and terms.
This individual will be responsible for applying U.S. generally accepted accounting standards.
The Sr. Revenue Accountant will work directly with Consulting Operations business teams and Project Managers.
Coordination of certain billing activities, revenue analysis, calculation, and interpretation of key performance metrics.
Assistance in preparation of reports for all levels of management and quarterly audit requests.
Participate in various special projects, upgrades, or enhancements involving our enterprise accounting and reporting system and our time and expense billing application.
Interaction and communication with various functions in the Accounting department and the position will be the primary point of contact for other departments.
Position requires operation in various financial systems.
Position requires application of foreign currency concepts.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-4 years relevant accounting experience preferably in project accounting, revenue accounting, construction accounting, or contract accounting.
Experience with revenue recognition preferably in the software industry; experience with ASC 606 a plus.
Strong computer skills: Advanced Excel, general ledger/accounting system, ERP systems, and other Microsoft Office applications.
Preference for candidates with working knowledge of Workday and Salesforce systems.
Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of work product.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
High degree of professionalism interacting with multiple levels of management.
Excellent written and oral communication skills across global cultures.
Adaptability to changing processes, scenarios, and requirements.
Highly organized and flexible with ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a demanding fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated team player.
Works well independently.

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
