The Role
The Senior Billing Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing operations within the company. The Senior Billing Accountant will handle complex billing issues, maintain financial records, and support process improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
What You’ll Do
• Support the order entry process, ensuring all orders are created in NetSuite ERP and are processed accurately and timely
• Review and verify invoicing information for accuracy and compliance with key contract terms affecting billing and collection.
• Coordinate with the finance team to resolve billing disputes and discrepancies.
• Record monthly invoices and ensure timely and accurate billing.
• Prepare and analyze billing-related financial reports for management.
• Maintain a reliable billing process and controls to ensure billing is completed by day 1
• Lead or assist in special projects as needed (e.g. audits, system implementation, etc.)
• Prepare and analyze billing-related financial reports for management.
Who You Are
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• 10+ years of finance/accounting experience overall.
• 5+ years of billing experience in software, SAAS or a similar industry
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end order-to-cash process.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to run multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Experience with ERPs and Biz apps (NetSuite, Salesforce preferred)
• Experience in reviewing Contract language including Non-Standard language for billing is a plus
• Strong communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
• This is a hybrid role (3 days work from office) based at our office in Pune (Vimannagar)
