JOB TITLE: Cost & Fixed Asset Accounting Specialist – Sadler’s
SALARY: Career Level 8, Non-Exempt (high level hourly)
DEPARTMENT: Accounting
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 6:30am-8:00am start time range, overtime as needed
REPORTS TO: Jason Eckert, Plant Controller
SUMMARY OF JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Responsible for managing the day-to-day Cost Accounting functions, including but not limited to:
Daily production entry, analysis, reconciliation (which includes investigating variances)
Includes managing in-tran locations and shipments to other plants and warehouses
Daily review of costing and inventory exception reports
Continual review of General Ledger
Includes completing cost adjustments as necessary and reclassing journal entries
Includes reporting and explaining product losses
Manage weekly cycle counting procedures and adherence to company policies
Manages setting up new items
Including managing of yields in yield database.
Creating and distributing accounting reports as necessary.
Daily review and reconciliation of EAM parts inventory.
Responsible for managing and completing required period/quarter/fiscal close duties, including but not limited to:
Balance sheet reconciliations
Reviewing P&L expenses and correct entries as needed
Competing period close journals and allocations
Completing and providing analysis of monthly scorecard data (KPI reporting)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Ability to think critically and logically
Demonstrated pattern of initiative
Demonstrates excellent pattern of attendance reliability
Great organizational and time management skills
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with use of computers, including Microsoft Office (excel, email, etc.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior accounting experience, preferably Cost Accounting
Experience with Oracle Financials, or other AP related system
Experience with QAD, or other related Cost Accounting system
Experience with perpetual inventory systems
Experience working in a food manufacturing or related environment
Bilingual preferred but not required
