Job Description
DevX is seeking an experienced Sr. Manager Accounts to lead the finance and accounting function across its group of companies. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably from a CA firm background with exposure to multi-client or multi-entity financial management. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making through robust reporting, internal controls, and effective team leadership.
Role & responsibilities:
• Lead and manage day-to-day accounting operations across all group companies, including payables, receivables, general ledger and reconciliations.
• Prepare, analyze, and present accurate financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports to the Founder and key stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver actionable MIS reports for performance tracking, strategic planning, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure full compliance with tax regulations (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.) and accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS).
• Coordinate with auditors and consultants for statutory, internal, and tax audits, ensuring timely and clean closures.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships to ensure optimal financial health and liquidity.
• Design and implement robust internal controls, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team, driving accountability, accuracy, and professional development.
• Collaborate with business functions to align financial planning with organizational objectives and expansion goals.
• Stay current on regulatory updates, industry trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and compliance readiness.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or Masters degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience managing accounts for multiple clients or group companies is mandatory.
Key Skills Required:
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in Zoho Books and Microsoft Excel; ERP experience is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Strong communication, leadership, and team management abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
