Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Staff Accountant role located in Chicago, IL at the Gary Comer Youth Center. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day financial tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, journal entries, and account reconciliations. They will also assist in financial analysis, audit preparation, and ensuring compliance with grantors and regulations.
Qualifications
Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable
Proficiency in financial reporting and financial record keeping
Knowledge of financial analysis and audit preparation
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience in nonprofit accounting is a bonus
