We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous Staff Accountant in Tucson, Arizona. This role involves various accounting tasks, including bank reconciliations, assisting in month-end close, GL, and the preparation of monthly financial statements. The Staff Accountant will also ensure adherence to internal control policies and may be assigned other tasks as necessary.Responsibilities:• Reconciling bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and other revenue and expense accounts as needed.• Posting all accounting transactions related to each legal entity, including payroll and pension payments, benefits, contributions, and special billings.• Handling all transactions related to event management accounting.• Performing month-end and year-end close processes.• Compiling monthly financial statements, Accounts Receivable reports, and other management reports as needed.• Ensuring that all internal control policies are followed.• Using accounting software such as QuickBooks for various tasks.• Handling Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.• Performing bank reconciliations and journal entries.• Handling month-end close processes.
