Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records while supporting the overall financial health of our organization. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who is passionate about finance and eager to make a meaningful impact in the senior living industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper coding and classification of expenses.
Analyze financial data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Assist with external audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
Provide support to senior management and department heads as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the healthcare or senior living industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
