LRE (Leeward Renewable Energy) is a high-growth renewable energy company forging a sustainable future through integrity, innovation, and positive impact. We own and operate 30 large wind, solar, and energy storage projects across the United States, totaling over 3 gigawatts (GW) of generating capacity.
LRE has an ambitious goal of 10GW of operating assets by 2028 and are developing and contracting an increasing pipeline of new projects every year. We take a full-lifecycle approach to our projects, built on a long-term ownership model and a company culture dedicated to our community partners and protecting the environment.
Job Summary:
The staff accountant is responsible for maintaining an accurate general ledger, preparing financial statements, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues for assigned corporate entities.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparing routine journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts including bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, fixed assets, accounts payable, assisting with consolidation entries and variance analysis.
Assists FP&A team with monthly corporate department reporting.
Reviews, approves and codes all payables for assigned entities and departments.
Performs daily cash monitoring to ensure cash balances are up to date and invoices are paid in a timely manner.
Assist with accounting for debt facilities, including interest accruals.
Assists in annual financial audit by providing support for items selected by external auditors.
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Two+ years of related work experience and/or senior level courses at an accredited university
Technical and analytical accounting background and familiarity or experience with complex accounting issues, consolidations, US and foreign GAAP issues, multiple corporate structures, equity and investment accounting.
Commitment, ability, and prior experience in meeting deadlines for monthly and quarterly reconciliations, and special projects; preparing thorough and complete analyses and reconciliations with appropriate documentation and follow-up.
Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage a demanding workload involving multiple tasks, responsibilities and deadlines with professional follow-through and minimal supervision.
Enjoys working in a very “hands on” and detail-oriented environment.
Self-starter with flexibility, desire to learn, willing to ask questions and take ownership of projects.
Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus
