The Staff Accountant is an individual with strong technical accounting skills that is looking to grow their depth of knowledge and experience in a variety of accounting tasks.
Job Duties:
• Prepare journal entries
• Prepare account reconciliations
• Prepare sales and use tax returns
• Assist in the preparation of 10++s
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis of these reports and financial data
• Prepare daily cash reconciliations
• Prepare audit workpapers
• Document and improve processes
• Assist with annual budget preparation and quarterly forecasts
• Prepare credit applications
• Perform other duties as requested
Required Skills and Abilities:
• Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize
• Strong problem solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to communicate articulately and efficiently with a broad range of people
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel
Education and Experience:
• 1-4 years of experience in accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
