Job description
As a skilled Accountant at Zelis, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for the US operations of Zelis Inc. Your key responsibilities will include preparing and analyzing financial statements, reconciling accounts, assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments for accurate financial reporting, participate in process improvement initiatives, and support internal and external audits to ensure timely and accurate closure of the month-end process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the US operations of Zelis Inc.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for Management.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Conduct periodic bank reconciliations and other general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations, including transfer pricing activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to streamline accounting procedures.
- Provide support for internal and external audits.
- Ensure timely and accurate closure of the month-end process.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the accounting field.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of sophisticated ERP environments.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience working in a Shared Services Center preferred.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic.,
