JOB SUMMARY:
This position is hybrid requiring two days per week in office.
We are looking for an accountant who wants to grow their career with a fabulous company. The ideal candidate will have a thirst for knowledge and a desire to excel. This position will have exposure to many different parts of the company and the mortgage industry. This role will provide a great opportunity to gain accounting and mortgage industry experience.
Primarily responsible for completing monthly accounting duties, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, reports, projects, and other tasks as required. Will assist with audits and regulatory requests.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Recording daily transactions
• Recording monthly journal entries
• Preparation of reports
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations
• Participating in the period end close process
• Assisting with ad hoc projects
• Financial, regulatory, & operational reporting and analysis
SCOPE:
• Contributes through specific expertise at the department or location level
• No supervisory responsibilities
• Contacts and communicates with others at the department or location level
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
• Minimum high school diploma or Equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
REQUIRED EXPEREINCE:
• Minimum of 0 to 2 years' experience working in an accounting/finance capacity
• Proficiency with MS Office with advanced Excel skills
• Committed team player with interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Positive attitude, desire to learn, self-motivated and an effective team player
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
Salary Range: $60,000 to $70,000 annually depending upon experience.
This position is also eligible for an annual bonus based on the successful completion of defined performance objectives.
This position is located in Englewood, Colorado, just south of Denver.
