The Opportunity
As a part of the Accounting team within the SAIT Finance department, you will be supported by a highly collaborative and energetic group as you build your experience by applying your accounting knowledge and training to the real world.
The Student Accounting Clerk position will assist the General Accountants as needed with day to day operational accounting functions. Responsibilities include assisting with inquiries, preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, capital asset administration, daily banking activities and form administration. This position will also be responsible for providing support for project work and testing.

Cash float & inventory counts
Provide support for daily banking
Preparing journal entries
Capital asset administration
Providing support for project work and testing
Qualifications & Experience
Must be a current and returning student at SAIT within an accounting major
Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role is an asset
Job classification: W6003 - Student Worker (d)
Hourly rate: $15.00 to $18.22
