Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tax Advisor to join our team and help our clients achieve their financial aspirations. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing corporate and/or individual tax returns. Our tax specialists work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide year-round support through follow-ups and tax planning sessions. We strive to establish long-term, supportive relationships with each and every client.
The ideal candidate is someone who gets excited by the precision of a well-structured tax return and sees numbers not just as figures but as stories. Someone who understands and appreciates the importance of tax literacy to our community, and is all-in to give them a hand. If this sounds like you or someone you know, we want to chat!
Responsibilities:
Communicate and coordinate with clients (i.e. answer questions, send documents, etc.)
Ensure accuracy of customer-provided documents
Prepare tax returns (T1 or T2 filing)
Liaise with tax authorities on audits and requests for information
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in accounting or related field
Experience with T1 and/or T2 filing
Willingness to learn tax laws and regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with ProFile is an asset
Experience with Quickbooks or Sage50 is an asset
Excellent touch-typing skills
