About the Tax Practice
The firm’s Tax Group advises a wide range of clients, from large multinational corporations to financial institutions and emerging companies, on their most sophisticated tax matters. The practice handles complex domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity and partnership structuring, REITs, capital markets transactions, international tax planning, and tax controversy matters. The group is deeply integrated with the firm’s corporate, capital markets, and litigation teams, providing clients with comprehensive transactional support.
About the Role
The firm seeks a mid-level associate (JD classes 2018–2021) to join the Tax practice in New York. This is an opportunity to work on market-leading transactions alongside top-tier colleagues and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Advise on tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings.
Support transactional structuring, due diligence, and risk analysis for domestic and cross-border deals.
Collaborate closely with colleagues across practice groups to deliver strategic, client-focused tax solutions.
Key Qualifications
2–5 years of tax experience in a respected law firm environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage the tax components of complex commercial transactions.
Strong academic credentials and analytical skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting base salary for this New York position is expected to range from $310,000 to $420,000, with actual compensation determined by experience, skills, and other job-related factors.
