Team Introduction
The AMS Global Accounting team is part of the Accounting and Reporting team. Our team covers the general accounting functions in the US, Canada and LATAM. We are the owners of GL accounting and oversee the month end closing process. We work across various accounting projects and provide technical support. We also support the year end reporting and audit inquiries as required.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accounting Manager to support our rapidly growing Americas region, including US, Canada and LATAM. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external auditors to provide valuable insights to support business operations. You will help to maintain an accounting policy manual on new accounting standards issued by the authorities to determine the impact on the company and implement new accounting standards, as required. You will be responsible for general accounting functions across the Americas region.
Responsibilities:
Lead and support daily accounting and financial operations, with a strong focus on reporting accuracy and completeness.
Drive timely and accurate completion of financial reporting deliverables, including coordination with external and internal auditors.
Perform accounting analysis on new product launches, new business models, and accounting policy changes, and assess reporting implications.
Stay current with evolving accounting standards and industry practices; evaluate operational and reporting impact of changes.
Research and assess accounting implications of new business initiatives in collaboration with Bytedance’s global accounting teams.
Partner with global accounting and reporting teams to operationalize complex transactions and ensure consistent global reporting.
Collaborate with tax and reporting teams to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal reporting requirements.
Translate complex accounting guidance into operational processes, including assessing internal control design and effectiveness.
Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and implement best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Active CPA certification.
5+ years experience in financial reporting, audit, or technical accounting.
Solid experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements and related disclosures under U.S. GAAP.
Strong technical knowledge in revenue recognition, consolidation, and complex transactions.
Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with business, engineering, and global finance teams to operationalize accounting requirements.
Demonstrated track record in process improvement and/or implementing scalable reporting solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of Financial reporting (US GAAP & IFRS), basic knowledge of tax provision.
Experience with SOX compliance, internal controls over financial reporting, and control remediation.
Familiarity with large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, or NetSuite) and reporting tools.
Excellent public speaking skills, including ability to clearly document and present accounting conclusions and reporting processes to business leaders and legal counsel.
Big 4 and/or multinational company experience.
Prior experience in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) industry.
Working proficiency in Mandarin is strongly preferred as the role will be working with systems, reading technical documents and communicating with China and Non-China markets in Mandarin and English.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $111467 - $205169 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location.
