SAP Vertex Tax Specialist
Our organization seeks an accomplished professional with expertise in SAP S/4HANA FI-Tax and Vertex integration to manage tax processes, configure VAT and Withholding Tax (TDS/WHT), and integrate external tax calculation systems.
• Work on SAP S/4HANA FI-Tax with Vertex integration, focusing on tax configuration and system reviews.
• Implement and support tax processes in O2C and P2P cycles, ensuring seamless integration and accuracy.
• Configure Withholding Tax (WHT/TDS) including WHT codes, types, keys, and master data, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Configure VAT including tax procedures, tax keys, tax conditions, and input/output tax codes, ensuring alignment with business needs.
• Perform thorough system reviews and re-engineer business processes for standardization into SAP, eliminating inefficiencies and improving productivity.
• Configure SAP Pricing with Tax Procedures for different business units, optimizing tax calculations and minimizing errors.
• Develop functional specifications and support WRICEF object development, driving innovation and improvement in tax management.
• Prepare comprehensive business process documentation, including process flows, BPPs, end-user guides, and FAQs, ensuring clarity and understanding among stakeholders.
• Design closed-loop regression testing for inbound/outbound processing, guaranteeing accuracy and reliability in tax calculations.
• Develop custom reports for reconciliation of SAP FI tax data with Vertex Reporting/Returns databases, providing insights and enhancing decision-making.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA FI-Tax with Vertex, hands-on experience in VAT and WHT/TDS configuration, and experience in external tax calculation (O2C & P2P).
Mandatory skills include:
• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA FI-Tax with Vertex.
• Hands-on experience in VAT and WHT/TDS configuration.
• Experience in external tax calculation (O2C & P2P).
• Ability to independently write Functional Specifications and develop Custom Objects.
• Good knowledge of Vertex Tax Engine and tax mapping concepts.
Desirable skills include knowledge of excise tax processing, compliance, and reporting, exposure to custom reporting and reconciliation between SAP & Vertex, ability to work in shifts as per business needs, and strong analytical, documentation, and collaboration skills.
