Job Title: GST & Tax Auditor
Location: Remote / Client-Site (as needed)
Job Type: Freelance / Project-Based / Part-Time
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Freelance GST and Tax Auditor to manage tax compliance and auditing requirements for our clients. The ideal candidate should be well-versed with Indian taxation laws, GST regulations, and direct/indirect tax procedures. This role offers flexible working hours and the opportunity to handle multiple assignments independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-+/+C)
Conduct GST audits and resolve discrepancies in GSTR 2A/2B reconciliation
Perform income tax audits under Section 44AB and prepare audit reports
File TDS returns and handle related compliances (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.)
Advise clients on tax planning and compliance strategies
Support during departmental audits and respond to notices, if required
Ensure all filings are done within statutory deadlines
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting
Minimum 2 years of experience in GST, taxation, and audits
Proficiency in Tally, Excel, Zoho Books, GSTN & Income Tax Portals
Good communication, analytical, and client handling skills
CA Inter / CMA / MBA Finance or relevant certifications preferred
Compensation:
Project-based / Retainer model – depending on scope and client load
