Responsibilities
• Prepare complex tax returns andperform detail level reviews of work papers, allocations, and tax returns, as well as preparing materials and research for consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities
• Work with an engagement team and draw on your experience toprovidetax compliance and consulting services to clients
• Communicate with clients to gather information to complete tax returns
• Operate in adynamic environment, coach interns and entry-level staff,and share your knowledge and experience with the entire team
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree Required
• CPA or qualifications completed to pursue CPA
• 2+ years of progressive experience at a public accounting firm
• Basic understating of challenges related to tax returns including partnership, individual, and corporate tax returns.
• Proficiencyin juggling multiple priorities while working with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience reviewing tax returns done by staff and making recommendations on return preparationregardingaccuracy and tax savings opportunities
• Experience preparing returns for more complex partnership, s-corp, individual, or corporation returns anddemonstratean understanding of increasingly complex tax concepts
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player
• Excellent time and project management skills
• Ability tomaintainand develop strong relationships with clients and internally to meet or exceed expectations
• Willingness and ability to learn new concepts with minimal guidance
• Strong external and internal communicationrequired, due to client facing role and importance of strong partnership with internal engagement teams
• Understanding of Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe, etc. Required
• Strong understanding of CCH Axcessrequired
• Develop strong relationships internally, and flexibility arerequiredand keys to success
• Initiative to learn, ask questions,operatein a fast-paced environment, challenge the status quo
Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $120,000
• Salaries offered to candidates are determined based on factors such as candidate's relevant skillset, experience, licensure, and certifications, as well as job responsibilities, geography, market considerations, and organizational needs.
