A little about the role
Our Complex Care team provide 24/7 care for our children and young people. This newly created Team Manager – Support Services position is unique in so far as you will be managing and leading our new team of restorers and our newly created on-call worker team. Monitoring and analysing resource plans for our Complex Care and CYPPS service, ensuring both are well resourced.
You will ensure the on-call team ensures frontline KAA staff receive support and guidance and support. You will be required to support your team who work out of hours at times and be flexible to work at adjusted business hours 7am-3pm and/or 10am-6pm Monday-Friday.
This role will provide supervision, coaching and development with escalation and assistance from the Assistant Director- Support.
Core tasks include ensuring all on-call calls are recorded, including details of who called, the reason for the call, and whether the call was resolved, or escalated together with monitoring and reporting on on call-incident management and escalated calls to ensure information is captured and reported to the delegated authority.
It is an essential part of this role to ensure all policies, procedures and the use of and distribution of relevant documents are adhered to within the on-call team, including but not limited to; Safer Caring Plans, Risk Assessments, Cultural Plans, progress reports, minutes of stakeholder meetings, etc. Ensuring these are stored on client management system in a timely manner.
You will take a lead in providing trends and insights to the Key Care team for fortnightly house meetings. Ensuring there is clear communication across all teams
A key responsibility of this role is to observe and implement Child Protection and Child Safe Procedures, Better Care Better Services Standards and adhere to Safer Caring Guidelines.
The base salary for this position is $106,389.92 - $111,092/80 /annum (based on 1.0FTE) + super + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum + Mobile + Company vehicle/vehicle allowance and fuel card.
This position is a full-time, ongoing role.
About you
You will bring a tertiary qualification, professional accreditation or relative experience in social services together with your 5 years+ experience of working with children and young people in the care system with evidence of leadership and/or supervisory acumen. A sound knowledge of the Child Protection practice is essential together with,
You will be able to demonstrate your experience with the ability to work with children and young people, with challenging behaviour in a trauma informed way.
You will be reliable, flexible and dependable with solid organisational skills including attention to detail and the ability to multitask. Your ability to demonstrate effective communication both written and verbal is essential.
You will be a natural leader, great listener and be able to lead in development of a positive team culture, including contributing to the learning of colleagues and continuous improvement.
