About the role ️
As a Technical Installation Project Coordinator, you’ll play a hybrid role that bridges hands-on technical expertise with project coordination across key onboarding projects in the UK. You’ll be the go-to person for all things installation and troubleshooting, working directly with clients, field engineers, and internal stakeholders to ensure the successful deployment of our SAM4 hardware at industrial sites.
You’ll support installation partners in the field, lead onboarding sessions with customers, and develop and execute detailed installation plans based on cabinet schematics. Your mission? A flawless, right-first-time experience that sets the foundation for long-term success.
About the Team
You’ll be part of our UK Onboarding & Installations team, working at the forefront of our customer journey. We’re a close-knit, mission-driven group collaborating across Engineering, Customer Success, and Field Operations to deliver a seamless and high-quality onboarding experience.
You’ll work alongside Strategic Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, Reliability Engineers, and Field Specialists, acting as the technical key player during the onboarding phase. Our work directly shapes how new customers experience Samotics from day one—and sets the stage for long-term success.
Your challenge
• Act as the primary point of contact during installation & onboarding projects
• Provide technical support (remotely and on-site) to engineers and clients
• Develop installation plans based on technical drawings and cabinet layouts
• Guide customers and partners through onboarding workflows
• Troubleshoot installation issues: wiring, connectivity, signal quality
• Maintain accurate ticket tracking and documentation
• Collaborate with internal experts (e.g., Edge Devices, ESA, Hardware Architects)
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in onboarding documentation & tools
What you'll bring
• 2–4 years of experience in electrical installation, technical onboarding, or project engineering
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and technical schematics
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Applied Sciences, or relevant field
• Relevant safety certifications (e.g. NEBOSH, BS 7671, or similar)
• Experience with IoT hardware or industrial installations
• Excellent communication skills and a “customer-first” mindset
• Comfortable traveling across the UK and once per quarter to HQ in Leiden, NL
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are a bonus
