TECHNICAL REVENUE ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Remote Canadian Role
Altera Digital Health, a dynamic and growing healthcare software solutions provider, is seeking a skilled Revenue Accounting Manager to join our finance team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and timely recording of revenue, while driving process improvements and contributing to our ongoing financial integration.

Altera was acquired by Harris Computer in May 2026 and is their largest acquisition to date. The Altera business consists of 11 core businesses spread across several legal entities in various geographies. The Altera finance team consists of 100+ individuals and is truly an international operation with team members in India, Canada, USA, Israel, Australia, and more.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Initially, you will focus on developing a strong individual contributor foundation and supporting the revenue accounting function. As your expertise and knowledge of business grows, you’ll have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities.
Review, analyze, and interpret complex customer contracts to ensure the accurate application of IFRS 15 principles.
Identify opportunities to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of the customer contract review process.
Contribute to the continued refinement of the organization’s revenue accounting policies and practices.
Manage the end-to-end revenue recognition process for large customer contracts, including contract review, revenue recognition analysis, and journal entry preparation.
Develop sophisticated excel workbooks to support revenue recognition for unique contracts.
Collaborate across the organization to support revenue-related initiatives, including determining the appropriate revenue treatment for new products.
QUALIFICATIONS
CPA designation required
3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
Interest in technical financial reporting and the application of IFRS standards
Strong technical accounting skills, including a solid understanding of the IFRS 15 revenue standard
Skilled at identifying and implementing process improvements
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Prior management experience or a history of informal leadership or team collaboration is preferred
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Able to effectively work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
LOCATION AND TRAVEL
Remote role with minimal travel.
