Position Description
This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of pulp products to customers while providing excellent customer service. The Coordinator acts as a key liaison between the mill's production, sales, and shipping departments, as well as external logistics providers and customers.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and ensure the timely delivery of pulp to customers while optimizing and minimizing freight costs through effective logistics planning.
Develop, implement, and maintain standardized procedures, policies, and efficient processes within the Pulp Warehouse to ensure consistency and operational excellence.
Assess and manage risks associated with the safe operation of the Pulp Warehouse.
Develop and maintain an operational plan for the pulp warehouse with ongoing cost management and budget control.
Report production and quality data to sales, serving as the primary liaison between the Mercer Sales and Logistics teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Assist the Machine Room Operations Specialist with felt inventory control, shutdown planning, machine production loss accounting and other duties as required.
Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a logistics position is considered an asset.
Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, and G-Suite. Experience with SAP is an asset.
Experience with ISO9001 Quality Management System is an asset.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate activities and resolve priority conflicts across various departments, ensuring safe and efficient implementation of work plans.
Capable of handling multiple tasks with ease in a fast-paced environment.
Salary
The salary for this position is $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
