Temporary Senior Accountant

A well-established manufacturing company with locations across the United States is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the team in their Dallas office. The position will be hybrid, looking for the individual to go into the office up to two days a week. The company is PE backed, growing steadily and this specific office has a tight-knit family feel. The Senior Accountant will be working together with one of the Accounting Managers and helping guide the staff accountants. This role is heavily involved in the close process, annual audit and works hand in hand with the Fixed Assets Accounting Team. The ideal candidate will come from a manufacturing background with at least a few years in a senior accountant position. Senior Accountant Responsibilities: - Maintain General Ledger accounts - Oversee work of staff accountants including approval of journal entries, account reconciliations and overseeing the balance sheet - Work closely with the accounting manager to complete month-end, quarter-end and year-end closes - Prepare annual account analyses and reconciliations for cash accounts, general ledger accounts and subledger processes to be posted to the GL - Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports for the Controller - Plan and run training sessions for new employees - Assist staff with questions or issues that arise in the day-to-day Senior Accountant Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field - 2+ years in a staff accountant role required, 1+ year as a senior preferred - Experience working with advanced Excel function required (PivotTables & VLOOKUPs) - Manufacturing and SAP experience a plus - Excellent verbal and written communication required If you are interested in this Senior Accountant position and meet the above requirements, please apply today!
