Job Description
As a Travel Accountant, the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in streamlining all the
requisite day-to-day back office travel accounting operations by:
o Handling airline BSP reconciliations/payments and statement.
o Handling airline BSP Matching activity.
o Following up with stakeholders on reconciliation discrepancies
o Providing regular reports in relation to account reconciliation status and discrepancies as well as system malfunction or/ and abnormal events.
o Assisting in the preparation of financial statements for company and subsidiaries.
o Reviewing and processing routine accounting data for revenue and expenditures.
o Ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with corporate requirements.
o Analysing, reconciling, balancing and maintaining accounting records.
o Liaising with various designated Suppliers/Vendors to resolve issues and expedite
payments.
o Ensuring prompt & efficient responses to Supplier/Vendor/Customer queries, either
via call or email.
o Processing complex invoices for payment.
o Maintaining listing of accounts payables.
o Maintaining the general ledger.
o Maintaining updated vendor files and file numbers.
o Preparing and circulating the defined weekly, monthly, quarterly financial reports.
o Manage ad hoc controlling duties or project assignments regarding data reconciliation or business performance.
o Analysing & identifying areas for process improvements.
o Managing a team of travel accountants.
Key Technical Skills:
o Must have knowledge about ADM/ACM/PLB target and GDS systems (Sabre/Amadeus)
o Working knowledge of Travel Accounting Systems (STAX/Oracle Financials).
o Proficient in the MS Excel (Advanced) application.
o Working knowledge of MS Office applications (viz. Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

o Good verbal & written communication skills (English).
o Analytical and Problem Solving skills.
o Experience in interacting with customers/suppliers/vendors
o Incessant attention to detail.
o Good ability to listen & comply with operational requirements/client mandates.
o Good interpersonal skills & being a team player.
Relevant work experience:
o Proven work experience of between 3.5 - 5 years in a similar role with a wellestablished
Travel Management Company (Travel Agency).
Education / Industry Certifications:
o Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree in the Commerce discipline with specialization in
Finance & Accounting.
o Any other recognized certification in Finance & Accounting.
Other mandatory requisites:
o Willing to work a six (6) day week (As per the client’s schedule).
o Willing to work from the office environment.
o Willing to work rotational shifts in a 24x7 environment (Preferable).
o Currently located in or willing to relocate to Pune, MH.
o Willing to join immediately or latest in thirty (30) days.
Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent
Salary: ₹+7,032.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
