Value Realisation & Performance Lead
Location: Sydney
Type: Permanent, full time

The opportunity
The Value Realisation & Performance Lead plays a critical role in strengthening how value is defined, measured and realised across a complex portfolio of initiatives. This role exists to design and embed consistent governance and value realisation frameworks that provide clarity, discipline and insight across an evolving suite of projects.
This is a hands‑on, senior role for someone who is passionate about governance and outcomes. It is not a generalist PMO or consulting role — you’ll design frameworks, implement them in practice, report on outcomes and surface insights and actions for executives. With no direct reports, this role offers strong visibility, influence and ownership in supporting confident, informed decision‑making at senior levels.
About QBE
At QBE, we get to the heart of what matters for our customers. And we do it all with a human touch.
We’re an international insurer with more than 13,000 people working across 26 countries – which means we’re big enough for your ambitions, yet small enough for you to make a real impact. It’s an exciting time. We’re building momentum towards our vision to become the most consistent and innovative risk partner.
What if you could have a positive impact – at work and in the world? As part of the QBE team, you’ll get to spend every day working with people who are passionate, talented and kind.
Your new role
As the Value Realisation & Performance Lead, you’ll own the design and embedding of portfolio-level governance frameworks that ensure initiatives deliver clear, measurable outcomes.
Design and embed portfolio‑wide value realisation and performance governance frameworks
Establish consistent benefit definitions, metrics, milestones and tracking standards
Deliver forward‑looking performance and outcomes reporting with clear executive insights
Stress‑test initiative status, benefit forecasts and financial positions
Challenge assumptions to ensure benefit cases are evidence‑based and decision‑ready
Coordinate and support executive‑level governance forums and materials
Continuously improve governance, reporting and information flows across the portfolio
About you
You are passionate about governance and value realisation, and you prefer doing the work rather than advising from the sidelines. You are comfortable working at executive level, confident challenging where needed, and equally comfortable getting into the detail to ensure the frameworks actually work.
You’ll bring:
Proven experience developing and embedding governance or value realisation frameworks within project or transformation environments
Strong understanding of benefits realisation, portfolio performance and transformation economics
Experience reporting into and supporting senior leaders and executive committees
Ability to translate complex quantitative information into clear, actionable insights
A hands‑on mindset with strong attention to detail and follow‑through
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and non‑technical teams

We offer a range of benefits to help provide holistic support for your work life, whatever your circumstances. As a QBE employee you will have access to and benefit from:
