We are actively recruiting for the position of "Vessel Accountant" with our leading client in Shipping Industry.
Location - Mumbai / Dubai
Roles & Responsibilities-
• In charge of the accounting/claim queries activities of shore staff and sea staff as applicable.
• Coordinating with the vendor on the bi-monthly invoice process.
• Preparing invoices process for all vendors.
• Preparing the monthly vessel manning fees invoices.
• Complying to the payment calendar for the utilities and statutory payments.
• Verifying the payment documents/invoices with the payment register for all vendors and releasing the payment for further processing.
• In charge of the accounting and payroll activities of sea staff as applicable.
• Organizing the accruals and provisions on a monthly basis for the monthly reporting of wages.
• Processing payroll of the ships on a daily basis, verify the final settlement account of the crew signing off.
• Arranging for remittances for all sign off crew.
• Addressing the queries of the vessel w.r.t. to the payroll.
• Closely monitor the deductibles from crew’s wages as per statue and also as per management instructions.
• Attending emails from vessels / agents / crews, etc.
• To Comply the Home allotment of the seafarers and verifying the entries in the payment register for further processing.
• Statutory Compliances.
• MIS Reporting, Finalization.
Requirements-
• Experience with Ship Management is mandatory
• Responsible for all Owners reporting
• Issue all monthly Cash Calls
• Minimum 5 years of solid experience in Vessel accounting (not as a general accountant)
