Vessel Accountant ( Experience in the Shipping industry is a MUST)
Our client is a leading Ship owner company headquartered in Singapore. They are looking to hire a self-motivated finance professional to start their vessel accounting team in India. We invite candidates with the following experience and qualifications/ skills to apply.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Vessel Accounting Manager provides essential support as he records, prepares and reviews Vessel accounting Reporting on a monthly basis.
Responsibilities:
· Assist in entire vessel accounting functions.
· Undertake daily accounting duties, including the filing of entries/ vouchers, supporting documents pertaining to GL, AP, etc.
· Bank Reconciliation for ship accounts, Reconciliation of master cash account/ bond store.
· Reporting to the Senior Vessel Accounting Manager for the full spectrum of accounting operations for vessels.
Education & Experience:
• A formally accredited bachelor's degree in accounting, whilst an ACCA or CPA qualification with 2-5 years of relevant work experience at Ship management companies will be an added advantage.
• Two years’ work experience at an Auditor/Accounting firm will be an added advantage.
Skills / Competencies:
• Able to work in a team-based environment
• Able to meet tight deadlines
• Must be proficient in software applications, particularly Excel & Word (pivot table and value cap)
• ABS NS software application knowledge will be an added advantage
• Shipping Experience is a MUST
• The position is based out of Mumbai, India
