Our team is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled US Property Accountant to join our dynamic and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in Quickbooks and Yardi Voyager, particularly in managing accounting processes and ensuring financial accuracy for U.S.-based clients.
You should possess a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and have hands-on experience with lease accounting, CAM reconciliation, and other relevant accounting practices. As a key member of our small advisory group, you will be working closely with internal stakeholders and clients to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting while supporting operational efficiencies.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in Quickbooks and Yardi.
• Proven experience working with U.S.-based clients, with a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and its application to accounting processes.
• In-depth understanding of accounting principles, including lease accounting (ASC 842), CAM reconciliation, and other U.S. GAAP standards.
• Strong ability to manage multiple clients and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to ensure data accuracy in all tasks.
We are looking for someone who can quickly learn and adapt to new processes, software, and technologies. You should also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with clients and internal teams.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Serving as a key member of our advisory group, providing expert guidance and accounting solutions.
• Collaborating closely with pod members, internal teams, and clients to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
• Communicating directly with clients (primarily U.S.-based) to address queries, provide updates, and ensure smooth project execution.
You will also be responsible for managing recurring bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients, performing monthly and quarter-end close processes, preparing quarterly financial statements, reconciling accounts, and reviewing transactions and processes to ensure financial records comply with U.S. GAAP.
