We currently have aSenior Accountant (Accounting & Bookkeeping) position available with our client, Z Consulting.
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive accounting professional to support our client’s internal operations across accounting, bookkeeping, and compliance. This role will primarily focus on end-to-end bookkeeping, accounting and tax compliance while also supporting data analysis and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day bookkeeping activities including data entry, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and year-end processing
Maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients
Experience in Balance Sheet reconciliation.
Prepare fully referenced workpaper files for all engagements
Preparation and lodgment of IAS and BAS
Assist in the preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for all entity types
Manage ATO correspondence and client instalments
Support year-end compliance reporting requirements
Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner
Manage client documentation, records, and filing
Handle general client administration and correspondence
Assist in reviewing financial data to identify opportunities and improve client outcomes in collaboration with the Director
Perform data analysis as required to support client business needs
Manage individual workflow, deadlines, and priorities effectively
Maintain accurate timesheets and meet KPI expectations (70% productivity and 70% recovery)
Skills & Experience & Qualifications
Any bachelor’s degree in commerce / accounting or MBA Finance.
5+ years of relevant experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
Hands-on experience in Xero and Xero PM.
Good understanding of Australian taxation compliance (BAS, IAS, Payroll, etc.)
Knowledge of GST.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
