Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various mathematical disciplines, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Differential Equations. This role involves developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles while fostering a positive classroom environment. The Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for guiding students through their mathematical education, preparing them for standardized testing, and supporting their overall academic growth.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
Teach a variety of mathematical subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Discrete Math.
Utilize learning technology to enhance student engagement and understanding.
Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a conducive learning environment.
Assess student progress through standardized testing and provide constructive feedback.
Offer tutoring and mentoring to students who require additional support.
Engage in curriculum development to improve educational offerings.
Collaborate with colleagues on instructional design and educational initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Skills
Strong knowledge of mathematics including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Differential Equations, and Discrete Math.
Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
Proficient in utilizing learning technology for teaching purposes.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students and parents.
Classroom management expertise to maintain an orderly learning environment.
Experience working with students across various age groups and learning abilities.
Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
Ability to conduct scientific research related to mathematics education is advantageous.
Background in higher education teaching or private school experience preferred.
