Job description, work day and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management: Maintain, review, and analyse the financial records and reports for construction projects, including project budgets, costs, revenue, and cash flow.
2. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial reports to company management, highlighting key financial performance indicators and providing recommendations for improvement.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with project managers to develop and manage project budgets, monitor financial performance, and provide accurate forecasts.
4. Cost Control: Implement and monitor cost control measures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure adherence to the allocated budget.
5. Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry-specific financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
6. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with construction projects, and propose risk management strategies.
7. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and financial modelling to support decision-making and project profitability.
8. Audit Support: Prepare documentation and coordinate with external auditors during financial audits.
+. Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, procurement, and other departments to facilitate communication and ensure financial alignment with project goals.
10.Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance financial processes and controls to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or other relevant professional certifications are a plus.
· Proven experience as a Senior Accountant in the construction industry, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
