About the Role

Based in our North Strathfield office, the Payroll Officer oversees all aspects of payroll processing for our support workforce. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you’ll ensure accurate, compliant pay runs and contribute to ongoing system and process improvements.

This role suits someone with strong XERO experience and a solid understanding of the SCHADS Award, NDIS compliance, and portable long service leave (PLSL) requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Process end-to-end weekly and fortnightly payroll using XERO and internal CRM
Apply SCHADS Award provisions and relevant industrial instruments
Manage PAYG, superannuation, and PLSL obligations via relevant state bodies
Prepare journals and reconciliations; support EOFY and audits
Respond to payroll queries and support onboarding/offboarding
Contribute to payroll policy reviews and system improvements
About You

Qualification in Payroll, Accounting or Bookkeeping
Demonstrated experience in high-volume payroll environments
Proficiency in XERO and Excel
Familiarity with SCHADS Award, NES, and employment legislation
Experience with PLSL schemes (preferred)
High attention to detail, strong confidentiality, and a proactive approach
