The Role:
We are looking for a seasoned administrator who is highly organised and motivated. In this part-time role, you will work closely with our Hospitality leadership team, providing essential administrative support, ensuring efficient and consistent implementation of hospitality services at Bunurong Memorial Park (BMP). This role will require you to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, promoting the values of SMCT.
Responsibilities
Provide timely and accurate processing of function enquiries, bookings and scheduling.
Co-ordinate and update café enquiries and function bookings, including following up with internal departments, Funeral Directors and Next of Kin
Regular updating of all Hospitality menus
Assisting the Leadership team with scheduling and allocation of staff for functions, café and florist
Assist with the daily revenue reconciliation, cash handling, banking and data entry
Assist with compliance with internal and external audit requirements, particularly concerning food safety and record keeping
Maintain stock levels and assist with monthly stocktaking and variance reporting for beverage and florist supplies
Foster a collaborative work environment by encouraging positive relationships between FOH and BOH teams
Your Profile:
Fantastic attention to details skills
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Experience in hospitality administration with a strong understanding of both FOH and BOH operations
A customer-centric mindset with a proactive, "can do" attitude and flexibility to adapt to changing tasks
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Ability to deal with a range of customers with empathy
