Job description, work day and responsibilities

The Admin team provides daily administrative support for summer programming, and preparation for Fall/Winter tasks. Working in small groups, and across departments, youth in these roles develop confidence and begin to master skills used in their writing, analysis and participation in the workplace. Our waterfall mentorship model means you will help others to learn things you are already an expert in and others will help you learn things you are working on yourself. These roles are progressive over the summer and youth are afforded as much scope and responsibility as they are willing and able to handle. It's a great way to 'level up' in a team setting where your voice and opinions genuinely make a difference daily.

Full-time summer employment contracts range from 8 -16 weeks, May through September. Post-secondary students are welcomed and encouraged to apply for this position as part of their programs requirements for a co-op or work placement. Contracts for most roles are offered at the Ontario minimum wage.

These roles follow a hybrid work structure where employees both work from home and in person, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks and/or personal work preferences. Working from the office/studio/meeting location is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration. Training and Workshops may be online or in-person, as needed.

Due to federal funding requirements for this position, eligible applicants must:

Be 15 - 30 years of age on their first day of work
Be a Canadian citizen, have permanent resident status, or be protected under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
Be present in Canada while working
Hold a valid Social Insurance Number, and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
