Location: Camrose, AB (Hybrid work available)
Job Type: Full-time (7.5-hour workday, flexible core hours + AM – 3 PM)
Compensation: $25–$30/hour, depending on experience
About the Role
We’re looking for a resourceful, personable, and highly organized Executive Assistant to support our accounting professionals and ensure the smooth flow of our office operations. This is more than just a front-desk role. It's a chance to grow into a core member of a dynamic and evolving practice.
You’ll start by managing reception and day-to-day office coordination. Over time, you’ll build skills in bookkeeping, project support, client communication, and more. All at your own pace. We’re seeking someone who thrives on variety, enjoys solving problems, and is ready to grow with us.
What You’ll Be Doing
As one of our Bookkeepers, you’ll be the go-to financial partner for a portfolio of clients. You’ll manage daily bookkeeping, full-cycle accounting tasks, and work with a cloud-based tech stack to keep everything humming along behind the scenes.
Your responsibilities will include:
Full-Cycle Bookkeeping
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Process payroll and manage source deductions
File GST and manage government remittances
Client Relationship Management
Communicate directly with your assigned clients
Help them understand their financials and stay ahead of compliance
Modern, Cloud-Based Bookkeeping Tools
QuickBooks Online (you're fluent in it)
Xero, DEXT, Hubdoc, Keeper, and others that make your life easier
Collaboration & Reporting
Work with our internal team and client stakeholders
Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and data integrity
What We’re Looking For
Experience
5+ years in bookkeeping or accounting
Comfortable working across multiple clients and industries
Previous public accounting firm experience is an asset
Tech-Savvy
Proficient in QuickBooks Online (must-have)
Experience with tools like DEXT, Hubdoc, Keeper, or Xero
Strong Excel skills and confident with Microsoft Office Suite
People Skills
You enjoy helping clients understand their numbers
Clear communicator with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Detail-Oriented
You spot issues before they become problems
