Job Description – Bookkeeper / Office Manager
**Company:** Sports Publications Ltd
**Location:** Hybrid – Scarcroft office & remote working
**Hours:** 4 days per week, 9:00am – 5:00pm
**Salary:** Up to £30,000 pro rata (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Bookkeeper / Office Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. This hybrid role combines responsibility for the day-to-day bookkeeping of the business with general office management duties, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across the company.

You will be working closely with our fractional management accountant, who prepares monthly management accounts based on your postings, and supporting the wider team with financial and administrative tasks.
Key ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping
· Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using Xero
· Raise and send sales invoices and manage the sales ledger
· Process purchase invoices, match to correct nominals, and prepare supplier payments
· Post and reconcile bank transactions
· Handle staff expenses and reimbursement processes
· Monitor cash flow and banking activity
· Support the management accountant with month-end processes, including prepayments and accruals
Office Management
· Oversee general administrative duties to support the smooth running of the office
· Act as a first point of contact for suppliers and service providers
· Assist with travel bookings for staff and directors
· Support the arrangement of company social activities and events
· Support staff with ad hoc administrative tasks
· Coordinate office supplies and operational needs
Skills & ExperienceEssential:
· Proficiency in Xero accountancy software
· Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, reconciliations)
· Previous experience in bookkeeping, including sales and purchase ledgers
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Desirable:
· Experience with prepayments and accruals
· Previous experience supporting a management accountant
· Prior office management or administrative experience
· Interest in golf or sports

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £20,916.42-£38,538.54 per year
Expected hours: 22.5 – 30 per week
