Job description, work day and responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced LMS Specialist with 3-4 years of hands-on experience in administering, configuring, and optimizing Learning Management Systems such as Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, or similar platforms. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless LMS functionality, supporting e-learning initiatives, and enhancing user experiences for educators and learners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. LMS Administration:
a. Manage and maintain the organization's LMS platform, including course setup, user management, and troubleshooting.
b. Ensure system stability, uptime, and security compliance.
2. Content Management:
a. Collaborate with instructional designers to upload, organize, and manage course content.
b. Ensure course materials are aligned with best practices in e-learning.
3. Technical Support:
a. Provide tier-2/3 support for LMS-related issues and coordinate with vendors for advanced troubleshooting.
b. Offer guidance and training to educators, staff, and students on LMS features and functionalities.
4. Integration and Customization:
a. Implement and configure third-party integrations (e.g., LTI tools, plugins, analytics systems) within the LMS.
b. Customize the LMS interface to meet institutional branding and user experience requirements.
5. Data Management and Reporting:
a. Monitor and manage data, including course enrollment, progress tracking, and usage analytics.
b. Generate detailed reports for stakeholders to inform decision-making.
6. System Optimization:
a. Proactively identify opportunities for improving LMS workflows and performance.
b. Test and implement system updates, patches, and upgrades.
7. Compliance and Accessibility:
a. Ensure LMS and its content comply with relevant standards, such as SCORM, ADA, and GDPR.
b. Conduct regular audits to maintain accessibility and inclusivity in course design.
Required Qualifications:
· Experience:
o 3-4 years of experience working with major LMS platforms like Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, or similar systems.
· Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in LMS administration and troubleshooting.
o Experience with LTI integrations, API configuration, and database management.
o Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI (Tin Can), and IMS standards.
· Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in education technology, Computer Science, Instructional Design, or a related field.
· Soft Skills:
o Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
o Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and user training.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with cloud-based solutions and hosting LMS platforms.
· Knowledge of scripting languages such as PHP, Python, or JavaScript.
· Familiarity with Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar e-learning tools.
· Certification in LMS administration or related fields is a plus.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: From ₹45,000.00 per month
