Position Overview
The Client Support Officer plays a crucial role within the Health Services team at Mulungu Aboriginal Corporation, focusing on delivering outstanding customer service while efficiently managing client appointments, data, and claims processing. Your contributions will be vital in achieving our clinic’s objectives, enhancing patient experiences, and ensuring seamless operational functionality. You may also be required to assist with transporting clients to appointments and other services.
In this part-time, you will report directly to the Practice Manager and collaborate with various stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and community members. Your responsibilities will include medical reception duties and providing transport services to clients as needed.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a motivated individual who is passionate about providing excellent client support and possesses the skills and knowledge to thrive in a healthcare environment.
Possession of a Certificate III or IV in Business Administration/Medical Reception or the willingness to obtain.
Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity.
Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in office management systems and medical reception tasks.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
Proficient in problem-solving and capable of prioritizing workload effectively.
Drivers Licence / Blue Card and Current Federal Police Check (within the last six months) or willing to obtain.

Selection Criteria
SC 1 Possession of a Certificate III in Business Administration/Medical Reception or ability to obtain.
SC 2 Experience working with Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander communities and demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
SC 3 Experience, knowledge and skills in administrative / reception roles and office management systems.
SC 4 Demonstrated skills in performing reconciliations and problem solving.
SC 5 Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team structure.
SC 6 Knowledge of and / or involvement in quality improvement processes.
SC 7 Knowledge of, or ability to acquire knowledge of human resource management issues including Workplace Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity and Antidiscrimination.
