About the Role

You will play a crucial role initiating and delivering a wide variety of educational activities across the workforce and support team members to deliver quality care and support to clients. You will partner with residences to meet their learning needs and collaborate with the teams at each site to provide education and support aligned with national and state learning frameworks. You will be able to independently plan and deliver educational activities making you an integral part of the Clinical Education team.
Your primary functions will be:
With a risk-based approach; identify learning opportunities, organise learning events and follow up on education programs
Deliver education on a range of topics related to client care and support in accordance with learning frameworks and strategy
Develop and follow up on training schedules for state and residence specific training programs
Develop training resources and content as directed
Subject Matter expert for the Clinical Care documentation system
System administration in relation to the Learning management system
Support the reporting of mandatory training requirements
Model and demonstrate extensive knowledge of Arcare’s Values, commitment to relationships and our Senses-framework
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Minimum 12 months’ experience as a nurse in Aged Care
Police Check (current) and Statutory Declaration, as defined
Current AHPRA registration
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills across all levels of stakeholders
Demonstrated experience in exercising initiative in identifying learning needs and responding to learning needs
Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
Advanced skills in applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Extensive experience in working at an advanced level in an electronic Clinical Care Documentation system
Preferred:
Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
Experience as a nurse Unit Manager, Care Manager or similar
