About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Data science Associate Manager
In this role, you will:
- Supervise entry-to-mid level individual contributors in roles with low complexity tasks and risks on a range of analytical and predictive modeling data science initiatives that drive and influence objectives and products in addition to improve business performance
- Engage with mid-level management, stakeholders and internal partners associated with low complexity data driven insights, patterns, and recommendations made by the data science team
- Make day-to-day tactical decisions and resolve issues under the direction of senior management to meet business objectives, leveraging interpretation of policies and procedures for functions within scope of responsibility
- Identify low complexity opportunities to use data science with a focus on actionable insights which includes leading hypothesis generation around low complex business problems
- Manage and prioritize low complexity projects and maintain necessary processes, controls, and procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Implement strategies for developing and utilizing advanced analytic data science resources to recommend business solutions and initiatives
- Present actionable insights and recommendations using data provided by the team in a digestible format to a non-technical audience of varying levels
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources
- Be responsible for selection, evaluation, and development of staff
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of data science experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 1+ years of leadership experience
- Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science
Required Qualifications for Europe, Middle East & Africa only:
- Experience in data science, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
- - Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment.- Proficient in statistical analysis, data visualization tools such as Tableau, and programming languages such as Python / SAS / R and SQL- Proven experience in digital marketing with a focus on digital campaigns, consumer behavior and market research- Strong understanding and experience working on SEO, SEM, social media algorithms, and other digital marketing channels such as Organic, Ads, Social, Email etc.- Should have experience working with Paid Marketing, Pay per click (PPC), placements, campaigns etc.- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders- Proven experience working with large datasets and databases, extracting meaningful insights to inform marketing strategies- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.- Ability to work cohesively and collaborate with analytic functions throughout the organization- Relationship management experience with business and technology partners- Experience working with complex data environments.- Experience with providing detailed, thorough, and accurate documentation procedures and repeatability standards.- Ability enforcing accountability for high quality work among a large number of analysts.- Experience in gathering, analyzing and interpreting large datasets.- Knowledge and understanding of consumer lending data and analytics.- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.Job Expectation- Ability to identify data root cause issues with the ability to create immediate solutions.- Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
