Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will
design, develop, and optimize the data infrastructure that underpins our “Network as a Service”
platform. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of the data
layer supporting Telna’s global connectivity services.
About Telna
Telna provides Mobile Networks, CSPs and OEMs with a managed global network infrastructure
for cellular connectivity. Telna has the largest LTE and LTE-M footprint in the world. Its multi-
network platform enables simplified billing and localization, utilizing 6+ telco pops globally.
Telna’s Cronus connectivity platform allows instant access to its virtualized cellular
infrastructure via API or front-end portal.
About You
You are a data-focused engineer with a strong understanding of relational and non-relational
database design, optimization, and integration within distributed microservice environments.
You have experience supporting mission-critical systems, designing schemas, and building
efficient queries and ETL processes. You are detail oriented and comfortable collaborating with
developers, product managers, and platform teams to ensure the data layer meets application
scalability needs.
Experience/Skills Required:
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
5+ years of experience working with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL,
MariaDB, MongoDB, Scylla, Redshift, etc.)
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with schema design, indexing strategies, and
query optimization
Hands-on experience supporting transactional and analytical workloads across
distributed systems
Excellent communication skills to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
Skilled in troubleshooting performance bottlenecks and ensuring high availability in
production environments
