Join Our Smiling Team – Dental Assistant / Receptionist (Casual)
Location: Mount Gravatt, Brisbane QLD
Role: Dental Assistant
Basis: Casual Role | 2–3 Days per Week | Experience Preferred – No Experience? Show us what makes you shine!
We’re looking for someone who just gets it.
If you’ve worked in a dental practice before, you know the rhythm of the day. You’re calm under pressure, organised, and great with people—whether you're assisting chairside or welcoming patients at the front desk.
At HD Dental Studio, we’re a well-established, modern dental clinic in Mount Gravatt with over 40 years of trusted service to the community. We offer a full range of general and advanced services, including preventative, restorative, cosmetic, implants, Invisalign and orthodontics.
As our practice grows, we’re looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our supportive team in a casual role, with the potential for a permanent part-time position for the right applicant.
When we need you:
2–3 weekdays (ideally Monday, Wednesday and Friday)
Wednesday availability until 7:00–7:30pm is essential
Flexibility for other days and evening finishes (Mon–Thurs) is highly regarded
Casual to start, with opportunity for permanent part-time
About the Role:
This is an all-rounder position with a strong focus on clinical chairside assisting, combined with reception and admin support as needed. You’ll be stepping into a respectful, professional, and friendly environment where your contributions matter.
Duties include:
Chairside assisting (general, cosmetic and surgical procedures)
Infection control, sterilisation, and room setup
Front desk support including patient communication, bookings, and payments
Supporting the team and helping the day run smoothly
Creating a calm and professional experience for every patient
What We're Looking For:
Dental assisting experience is essential
Reception or admin experience is highly regarded
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Professional, friendly, and calm under pressure
Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilisation
A flexible team player who takes initiative
Must have current Australian work rights

Availability Requirements
Must be available to work Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Must be able to work early mornings from 7:30am
Must be available for late finishes up to twice a week (between 6:00pm–7:30pm)
Wednesday evening availability is essential (finish at approximately 7:00pm)
