Job Title: Director, HRBP & Operations – India
Location: Noida, India
Reports To: Head of People
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 day remote)
About The Role
We are seeking a seasoned Director of Human Resources Business Partner & Operations to lead both strategic HR business partnering and day-to-day HR operations for our India workforce. This individual will play a critical role in partnering with senior leaders to shape organizational strategies, drive talent initiatives, and lead HR operations including payroll, compliance, and employee lifecycle management. The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic thinking, operational rigor, and strong interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Business Partnering
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on HR strategy, organization design, and workforce planning.
• Lead initiatives related to performance management, talent reviews, employee engagement, and leadership development.
• Partner with global HR and business leadership to align India HR strategy with company-wide objectives.
• Facilitate change management efforts and support leaders during organizational transitions.
Operational HR Management
• Oversee and continuously improve all HR operations, including payroll, and benefits administration
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal policies, including maintaining accurate and legally compliant employee records.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs to support a compliant and high-performance workplace.
• Lead HR audits and ensure readiness for internal/external compliance requirements.
People Analytics and Insights
• Leverage HR data to identify trends, forecast needs, and provide insights to influence decision-making.
• Partner with finance and other functions to align headcount, compensation, and budget forecasting.
Leadership and Team Management
• Lead and develop a high-performing HR team.
• Partner and work closely with the local Finance team
• Promote a culture of feedback, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Recruiting and Talent Acquisition
• Oversee full-cycle recruiting efforts in partnership with hiring managers, ensuring timely, high-quality hires that meet business needs.
• Drive talent acquisition strategies to build strong pipelines, enhance employer branding, and deliver a positive candidate experience.
Employee Relations and Engagement
• Resolve complex employee relations issues and manage sensitive investigations with integrity and fairness.
• Support employee experience initiatives including onboarding and culture-building programs.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in an HR Business Partner or strategic HR leadership role.
• Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience leading HR operations in a fast-paced, matrixed, or global environment.
• Demonstrated experience advising senior leaders and influencing at all levels of the organization.
• Deep understanding of India labor laws, payroll systems, and HRIS platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience in HR data reporting and decision-making.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
