The Role
Our Employer Solutions team is growing its regional team in Yorkshire as part of its overall national service line growth strategy. You will be responsible for assisting the regional Partner team to market our services and expand our Employer Solutions service offering in the region
As an Employer Solutions Tax Senior Manager, you oversee complex tax matters related to employee benefits and payroll taxes, providing strategic advice and ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations. You will manage key client relationships, mentor teams, and offer solutions for complex employment tax issues. Your role ensures high-quality service delivery and helps clients navigate their employment tax obligations effectively.

Able to work collaboratively with other service lines on complex issues in order to reach a solution and takes the lead in communicating outcomes to clients
Proactively communicates news of a technical or topical development within Azets in their areas of specialism
Is aware of upcoming changes to applicable legislation / regulation affecting their service line and how this will affect Azets workflow, processes and the scope and approach to client service delivery.

Technical Skills
Designs and leads training on employment tax matters both internally (to colleagues) and externally (to clients and networks)
Keeps abreast of and proactively communicates news of technical or topical employment tax developments and upcoming changes within Azets and across wider network
Works closely with employment tax senior management team and other teams around Azets to deliver joined-up technical advice
Manages a team of people, delegates tasks and provides appropriate feedback, ensuring team as a whole have the required skills and exposure to work
Reviews complex employment tax returns, with very minor adjustment following final review by director / partner
Oversees complex employment tax advice and reviews ready for director / partner sign off
Advises clients on most aspects of technical employment tax work (with the assistance from the employment tax senior management team as appropriate) whilst being aware of risk management and making appropriate challenge where relevant
Contributes to the development of best practice employment tax technical solutions
Recognised by colleagues as an employment tax technical expert.
Qualifications
Holds a accountancy and/or tax qualification or qualified by experience (e.g. ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA).
Essential Experience
It is expected that the above core and technical skills will have been developed through study alongside work experience in an accountancy practice.
