Nestled within the leafy grounds of Monash Health’s Kingston Centre in Cheltenham, Boollam Boollam Aged Care Centre offers a state-of-the-art, purpose-built residential facility dedicated to comfort, dignity, and excellence in Aged Care. With 150 beds across four thoughtfully designed floors, our modern infrastructure supports a warm, home-like environment, tailored to meet the unique needs of every resident!


About the Role:
Join our team as an Environmental Services Assistant (ESA) on a part time ongoing basis in this exciting opportunity to work at the new Boollam Boollam Aged Care Centre!

Being part of the Support Services team and reporting to the General Services Manager, ESA’s are responsible for maintaining a comfortable, clean, hygienic, and safe environment; not only for residents, but also for visitors and colleagues. Directly supporting resident care, ESA’s deliver high-quality environmental services across clinical and non-clinical areas, to help ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.


Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Delivering general and detailed cleaning of resident living areas, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and public areas
Ensuring adherence to infection prevention and control protocols at all times
Adhering to safety protocols when using cleaning chemicals and equipment in line with safety guidelines
Managing waste removal and disposal procedures safely and responsibly
Maintaining cleaning schedules and documentation
Reporting maintenance or safety hazards promptly
Collaborating with clinical and support teams to deliver service excellence
Ensuring resident privacy and dignity at all times
Complete relevant workplace training modules

We currently some exciting opportunities available to work Monday to Sunday in the following shifts:

7:30 am – 3:00 pm
10:30 am - 6:00 pm
About You:
To ensure your success in this role, you will preferably bring experience in environmental services within an Aged Care, hospital or commercial cleaning setting with strong demonstrated knowledge of infection control and hygiene practices. You are passionate about caring for our community. You are a reliable and punctual team member with great verbal and written communication skills. Whether you work independently or as part of a team; you always follow manual handling, safety protocols, and procedural instructions.
